Kanturk AFC u15 Boys team started their season off to a winning start this morning in Gurteenard . The boys played some lovely football and were threatening from the start. 

15 minutes in Benny passed the ball into Ben who slotted home his first goal.  Avondale were rattled and a few minutes later Barry linked in with Benny who got the pass into Ben to score his second goal of the day. Again Avondale had no answer and 2 minutes later Ryan played a lovely ball onto Ben who got it to Benny who put us 3 nil up in the 22nd minute. Avondale came back but Sean, Paddy, Fionn and Barry  were dealing with everything that came their way. Not long before half time Riadhan broke through and was unlucky not to get on the score sheet. Avondale continued to put the pressure on and got a goal in the 33rd minute. 

Both teams came out in the second half making lovely passes and creating chances but it was Ben who scored again in the 50th  minute to secure his hat trick.  Kanturk were hungry for more though , making some lovely passes and Denis was causing problems for Avondale in the central midfield. Riadhan had a break on goal and kicked  in a screamer which was well saved by the Avondale keeper only to come back out and Ryan caught it on the volley only again to have it saved and put out for a corner. Avondale kept the pressure on and got another goal just before the final whistle.
