Kanturk AFC U16’s kicked off their league on Monday evening at home to Passage A.
After a slow start, Kanturk gradually played their way into this game and grew in confidence. Several good chances went begging, but after 25 minutes Oisin fired in a low corner which was smashed in by Ryan. Only 4 minutes later a Passage free kick was miss hit but fell to their forward who gratefully found the back of the net.
35 minutes in Kanturk hit back, a through ball from Paddy, found Oisin who beat his defender and stroked the ball into the net.
Then right on the stroke of half time the referee played advantage to Kanturk and Callum stood strong against challenges before scoring a lovely solo goal.
Half time 3-1 to Kanturk.
Five minutes after the restart Conor passed to Ryan who finished smartly for his second goal.
Soon after Paddy again turned provider for Ryan to complete his hat trick with a curling shot into the top corner.
As the game drew to close Luke threaded the ball to Oisin who’s shot from a distance beat the keeper to make the final score
