Kanturk AFC U15 Girls kicked off their league campaign with a home game against Ringmahon on Tuesday evening.

The visitors took the lead in the first five minutes, when a corner was bundled home from close range. Kanturk stormed back into it and equalised ten minutes later with a trademark run and emphatic finish from Katie.
The score remained level until ten minutes from time, when Ringmahon took advantage of a tiring Kanturk team to score two long range efforts to seal a 3-1 victory.
Unlucky result for the girls who gave tremendous effort throughout and will benefit from their first run out of the season.
