Kanturk AFC u16 played Wilton Utd A on Sunday morning.
Almost straight from kick Kanturks front 3 combined to open the scoring, Ryan Finn to Oisin Mernagh who passed to Callum Thompson who back heeled the ball in.
2 minutes later the Wilton keeper failed to clear his line, the ball fell to Ryan Finn who fired it home.
Shortly after the Kanturk backs failed to clear their lines and the Wilton forward tapped the ball in.
13 minutes into the half Oisin Mernagh had a shot saved but Callum Thompson was on hand to slot the rebound in.
Just before half time Ryan Finn chanced his arm from 30 yards out and in the wet conditions the ball squirmed past the Wilton keeper.
Half time 4-1 up Kanturk were home and hosed .
No, a corner conceded and a header at the far past made it 4-2. Three minutes later a penalty conceded and scored 4-3.
Almost immediately the ship was steadied by Paddy Hickey who received a pass from Ryan Finn and powered his way into the box before shooting into the net. Minutes later Oisin Mernagh with another assist this time for Paddy who crashed the ball into the goal.
The Kanturk defence held out for the last 20 minutes with David Hynes in goal with a very safe pair of hands.
