Kanturk AFC U16 were away to Douglas Hall, Monday evening. Both sides having played 2 won 2.
Fionn Bourke opened the scoring with a fine long range effort to put the Turks into the lead. Kanturk pounced again as Oisin Mernagh reacted quickest to the Douglas Hall keeper parrying a shot from Ryan Finn to score Kanturks second. A great run and cross from Kain O’Leary gave Conor O’Dea a simple tap in for 3-0.
Into the second half and Douglas Hall battled on but the Turks defence led by Brian Quirke stood firm, but when breached found David Hynes impossible to beat, tipping one shot superbly over the bar. Almost 30 minutes in Callum Thompson scored number 4 to seal the win.
Thanks to our supporters and players for travelling and Douglas Hall for hosting.
