Kanturk AFC U13A boys secured their first League win of the season on Saturday morning in Gurteenard with an exciting win over Bandon A. This was an end to end game with both teams throwing everything at it.
The Turks were well up at half time after goals from Daurin Sierra, Michael Halabis, Daniel Sneddon and Axel O’Donoghue. Bandon fought back well in the second period but Kanturk responded each time with goals from Jamie O’Connell, Bobby Thompson and a third from Daurin to secure his hat trick to cap a superb individual performance.
A fantastic entertaining match and a great all round performance from the team. The referee had it ending 8-6 to Kanturk but I had it at 9 for the boys! Thanks to Bandon for making the long journey and playing with such a sporting style.
