The girls entertained Lakewood this morning in a league game at Gurteenard. Kanturk dominated the early exchanges and after a few missed opportunities, took the lead through Katie Hourigan. The girls remained on top until half time but could not add to their lead. The second half followed a similar pattern with Kanturk sealing the victory in the last 5 mins, when Lucy Kelleher was quickest to react in the box from a corner to finish. Strong performance from all 16 girls on the day and a well deserved clean sheet for the rock solid defence and goalkeeper Orla Heffernan. Well done all 👏
