The U15 girls entertained Ringmahon in the Plate Semi Final on Saturday afternoon. Kanturk started brightly and were unfortunate not to go ahead when Orla Heffernans shot struck the post. As the first half went on Ringmahon began to threaten and scored twice in quick succession to leave the score 2 nil at half time. To the girls credit they came out fighting in the second half and pulled one back with a fantastic strike from Cara Morgan. As Kanturk pushed on they were caught on the break as Ringmahon made in 3-1. Tough luck in the end for the girls, who put in a massive effort despite missing a few regular players.
