The last match of the season for our lads today and it was a big one the annual kids v parents match.
On a very warm afternoon the lads were certainly looking for some revenge after last year's defeat. If the parents were expecting an easy day a dose of reality hit pretty quick with the lads taking an early lead. Although the parents had more injuries than a small hospital at the start of the game, the dust was brushed off and they hit back with a brilliant finish followed quickly by a second.
Some very questionable refereeing gave the lads a chance to equalise from the spot which was dispatched with ease.
The game was back and forward in the second half with the parents taking the lead only to be pegged back again. With the full time whistle going the score was 3 - 3. Penalties next.....
Again with nothing between them it was not until deep into sudden death when the lads had the chance to win it... and a cool finish finally broke the parents team.

Well done to everyone involved today, lads you should be proud of yourselves you have been excellent all season.

Parents training starts next week 🤣 we can't let them beat us next year.

A special mention for Micheàl Dennehy the most improved player of the season and for Donnacha McCarthy the players player of the season.
